Yes! absolutely!
As long as you clean and sterilize the pieces and parts, there is NOTHING wrong with buying a used breast pump!
It's a lie from "Big Pharma" and major breast pump retailers to try to get you to only buy new. It profits them to tell these lies, see?
Do we not all eat at restaurants? How many thousands and in some cases, millions of people have eaten off the very same plate and fork and drank out of the very same cup we are drinking out of? i don't hear the CDC putting out huge warnings on using any used utensils do you? They are washed and sanitized and ok for us to re-use.
Doctor's offices often use the same utensils as well as surgeons using the same instruments for 1000's of surgeries. Again, they are sanitized before re-use.
Public toilet seats...yes, i said it! These are perhaps the most disgusting thing of all, but hardly any bathrooms have seat covers stocked or even available at all. How many people's nasty a** have been all over that seat? Some people don't wash their butt you know! But i don't hear any cries for public restrooms to be shut down, do you?
EXACTLY!
i have proven my point quite well i think ;)
i've been selling used and new breast pumps for 7 years and my customers are always happy with their purchase and i a take great pride in sending out a nicely cleaned and sterilized package to them.
Not everyone can afford new, not everyone has insurance, and don't want to deal with the hassle their insurance company puts them thru to get a new breast pump. Not to mention that what they provide can be anything from a hand pump to a very unsatisfactory, unreliable single/double pump.
IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A NICE BREAST PUMP. PLEASE STOP BY MY EBAY STORE!

Breast Pumps & Insurance Companies

The thing that most insurance companies are not going to tell you about the new ACA (Affordable Care Act) in reference to breast pumps is that it can be a very cumbersome process to obtain a breast pump due to lack of accepted and available breast pump providers.
You are also not guaranteed to be provided with a high efficiency double electric breast pump. You will receive a pump that the insurance company approves of, not one you choose. This may ONLY be a manual breast pump. Not all pumps are created equal and if you receive only a substandard electric pump, your milk will most likely dry up if you do not take other measures to assure proper expression.
The majority of insurance companies also charge you a co-pay for this breast pump, so it's not as free as the ACA has hyped it up to be. Then your insurance premium sometimes and most possibly will go UP in order for them to recoup their out of pocket expense of said breast pump.
So, it's not all it's cracked up to be, nor does it sound like an all around fun process to go through when you've just had your little one and are trying to get the hang of things.
